An absolute whopper of a double header tonight in Dorchester as two of the county town’s favourite bands team up for a night of premium live music.
Dorset’s own Black Water County have taken the live scene and festival circuit by storm in just a few years – their brand of Celtic folk punk being delivered with youth, energy and a healthy dollop of humour. They’ve featured at major festivals such as Beautiful Days and Boomtown while making themselves an institution at Fuelled By Cider events, with some European tour action thrown in for good measure!
Bristol’s fast-rising, hot ticket The Hawkmen join the action tonight as part of their autumn tour. Bringing an original and authentic take on rockabilly, northern soul and R&B, they ooze style and class that other bands would burn their record collections for. Currently receiving regular radio play for new single ‘Soulful Dress’ from the Craig Charles BBC 6 Funk & Soul Show, and hand-picked by the man himself for support slots in London, Liverpool and Edinburgh, this is a band going places.
