The Eskies + Noble Jacks at The Fleece, Bristol, 8th November

Fuelled By Cider are excited to announce the return of much-lauded Dublin band The Eskies to Bristol on Thursday 8th November 2018.

Another summer of major festival appearances and the success of their second album ‘And Don’t Spare The Horses’ has cemented The Eskies’ reputation as one Ireland’s best emerging artists.

Purveyors of music that meanders from sea soaked waltz to Italian tarantella, from Brassy funeral march-esque lament to weep along Klezmar knees up, from chain gang holler to ragtime finger snap, The Eskies are renowned for their infectious live show and audience rapport. Their previous Bristol gig sold out well in advance and their step up to The Fleece is well deserved.

“From the sinister sway of ‘Eloise’ through to the jaunty ‘Jesus Don’t Save Me’ and the driving ‘Jailhouse Sun’, The Eskies have delivered a fascinating blend of fun-fuelled folk.” – The Independent

Support comes from foot stompin’ folk rockers Noble Jacks, who continue to make a big name for themselves on the venue and festival scene. Their spring tour of major cities was a huge success, with numerous shows including the Louisiana in Bristol selling out in advance.

Les Carter (Carter USM / Ferocious Dog) w/ Nick Parker, Jake Martin & B-Sydes, Taunton 28th July

A real coup for Taunton as Les Carter (Carter USM / Ferocious Dog) heads up a night of amazing solo talent with Nick Parker, Jake Martin and B-Sydes at the CICCIC venue on Paul St.

Les Carter (Carter USM and Ferocious Dog)

Les is best known for his work in “Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine” in the early 90s, and these days for providing guitar for folk-punk kings “Ferocious Dog” as well as his long standing band “Abdoujaparov”. When Les is not on the road with said Dogs, he is on stage solo and acoustic! It´s a rare thing to see such a seasoned performer in such a small venue, performing such a stripped back set. Grab a ticket, get yourself a drink and get down the front! We will see you there!

Nick Parker
Come and see this man now, because we predict that in the not so distant future we may have to watch Nick from the back of the room; unable to wade through thousands of adoring fans! Nick is a firm favourite in the UK festival scene and is constantly on the road, entertaining audiences across the UK and mainland Europe. Like a fine cider he is well known and well loved in the West Country.

Jake Martin
Jake has spent the last 2 years touing his brand of angry folk punk practically non stop accross the UK, mainland Europe, America and Australia. Now he is back for another run with a brand new EP and a big bag of new songs! Those of you who caught his support slot with Gaz Brookfield in Taunton last year will know how good this lad is.

B-Sydes
Ben has had a great year, with stand out performances including Gaz Brookfield support at Bristol´s sold out Bierkeller, a slot at Farmer Phil´s Festival, and playing for Sheer Music in Devizes. Ben´s songs are as unique as they are well crafted. Make sure to come early and check him out!
